Representatives from the Ministry of Interior successfully completed a two-week capacity building training on Work Safety for English –Speaking African Countries in China.
The program was organized by the International Cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Management of The People’s Republic of China.
The seminar featured lectures and practical sessions on critical safety topics, including emergency response, flood control, fire water supply technology and safety in mining enterprises.
The four participants, during the training visited key institutions such as the Emergency Response Unit, The China Academy of Safety Science, and the National Experiment Base.
These engagements provided valuable insights into China’s advanced safety management systems and technologies.
Mr. Basiru Sinyan ,a Senior Fire Service Officer , on behalf of the group expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Interior and the People’s Republic of China for the continuous efforts in ensuring our internal security unit is capacitated with the requisite skills for better service delivery.
The Seminar concluded with awarding of certificates to various participants in recognition for the successful completion of the program.
This initiative highlights the Gambia’s commitment in ensuring that the National Security Sector Reform agenda is adhered to.
