Ministry of Interior Officer Excels in Cybersecurity Training in Dakar

The Ministry of Interior is pleased to announce the outstanding performance of one of its officers who has successfully completed a specialised cybersecurity training programme in Dakar, Senegal.

The officer, nominated by the Ministry, participated in the Cyber Technician Level 1 programme delivered by ENVR Cyber Dakar under a cooperation framework supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Despite the programme being conducted entirely in French, the officer demonstrated exceptional technical competence, adaptability, and commitment, achieving the highest overall performance in the cohort. This distinction was formally recognised by the course facilitators.

This achievement underscores the ministry’s continued investment in capacity building and its recognition that modern security challenges extend beyond the physical protection of life and property to include the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

As cybersecurity threats become increasingly sophisticated, the Ministry of Interior remains committed to strengthening its technical capabilities to safeguard the nation’s digital infrastructure alongside its traditional security responsibilities.

The Ministry also reaffirms its commitment to sustained cooperation with French partners in advancing professional development and enhancing institutional resilience in emerging security domains.
