We are a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing a robust technological infrastructure and strategic communication that supports the Ministry’s mission to ensure safety, security, and effective governance for all citizens.

Mr. Ibrahim Khalil SISSOHO
Head of Information Technology
Mr. SISSOHO is a seasoned IT professional with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex challenges. With expertise in network security, systems administration, and digital infrastructure development, he leads the charge in modernizing the Ministry’s operations. He is dedicated to ensuring the Ministry’s technological framework is resilient, secure, and capable of supporting its critical mission for The Gambia.
Mrs. Antoinette Mendy
Head of Communications & Public Relations
Mrs. Mendy is a strategic communicator with a proven track record in managing public relations and media engagement. She is responsible for shaping the Ministry’s public narrative, fostering positive media relationships, and ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information. Her work is vital in building public trust and keeping citizens informed about the Ministry’s activities and initiatives.
Our Core Functions
The ICT Section is responsible for:
Infrastructure & Security: Managing and securing the Ministry’s entire network, server infrastructure, and computer systems to ensure uninterrupted service and data protection.
Technical Support: Providing comprehensive technical assistance to all departments and staff, resolving issues promptly to maintain productivity.
Systems Development: Designing and implementing automated solutions and software applications to streamline the Ministry’s internal processes and public services.
Policy & Strategy: Developing and enforcing ICT policies, standards, and strategic plans to guide the Ministry’s digital growth and investment.
Capacity Building: Conducting training sessions to build in-house IT expertise and empower staff to utilize technology effectively.
The Media & Communications Section is responsible for:
Public Engagement: Managing the Ministry’s official website and social media platforms to engage with citizens and share important updates.
Press Relations: Serving as the primary point of contact for the media, issuing press releases, and organizing press conferences.
Brand Management: Protecting and promoting the Ministry’s public image through consistent messaging and proactive communication strategies.
Internal Communications: Facilitating the effective flow of information within the Ministry to ensure all units are aligned and informed.
Crisis Communication: Preparing and executing communication plans to address sensitive situations with transparency and accuracy.
Together, we ensure the Ministry of Interior is connected, secure, and heard.
